When you purchase Backup license for some of your machines they become servers that do seamless backup. By doing this all data from the authorized devices in the location will be replicated to the devices with activated backup and the local storages will be freed.
You may have unlimited number of Backup licenses in one Salvobit network, and we recommend at least two for each location. That way the risk of losing data is limited, because the data will be backed up on two devices. If you have more backup devices you can configure how many copies of your files you want to keep. Those devices aggregate the free space on them, so all the users in the network will have equal amount of space.
IMPORTANT: You should be aware that you can actually use a Backup license in a given Salvobit sharing network ONLY if you are Leader in that very network. If you are just a User in a Salvobit sharing network you will NOT be able to use your Backup license for the sharing network, even if you have purchased such a license.
Nevertheless, if you have purchased a Backup license, being only a User, you will be able to use it if you create a Salvobit sharing network on you own from the machine that have already activated a Backup license.
